Simple Thread Spool

I designed a Simple Thread Spool for use with sewing machines that works extremely well and fits perfectly on most modern electric sewing machines. This object can be easily printed on any 3D printer, which is why I was able to successfully print these on my RepRap Prusa i3. The dimensions of this spool are as follows: Spool Height: 4.0 cm; Spool Interior Radius: 0.6 cm (1.2 cm diameter); Spool Exterior Radius: 1.5 cm (3.0 cm diameter); Hole for Machine Spindle Radius: 0.4 cm (0.8 cm diameter). I modified this design from another one on Thingiverse, which is a customized version of the spool http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:28902 using their customizer tool here: http://www.thingiverse.com/apps/customizer/run?thing_id=28902. Printer Settings: I used my RepRap Prusa i3 to print this object with these settings: Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.15 mm Infill: 10% These are the recommended options for printing this spool, and they worked perfectly for me. Just slice and print the STL file, and you're good to go - I hope this helps!
