Simple Sturdy 2x4 Couch and Love Seat

Exasperated by inexpensive couches falling apart quickly due to rough usage by children, I sought a better alternative. Inspired, I designed sturdy love seats using 2x4 lumber for strength. The cushions consisted of 4" high-density foam covered with denim. To ensure stability, I attached 1x2 cleats to the plywood from the back, which were made from scrap. All joints were reinforced with glue and wood screws, and after assembly, the frame was routed, sanded, and painted.
