Simple Square E14 Lampshade

I was vacuuming the bedroom yesterday when disaster struck. As I moved the bed to reach under it with the hoover, my bedside lamp came crashing down and got crushed between the divan and the cabinet. "Oh no!" I exclaimed. "This is a mess!" I let out a string of colorful phrases, but you get the idea. The lampshade was beyond repair. You can see the damage in one of my photos: A perfect crease pattern, like freshly ironed trousers. Unfortunately, the shade was specifically designed to match the sleek base of the touch-operated lamp, making it hard to replace. But I'm not one to give up easily! I pulled out my 3D printer and a roll of translucent filament. One overnight print later, and voila! I considered going all artistic with this project, but since it's just for my bedroom, I didn't see the point. Then I thought about adding some visual interest with a crinkle or voronoi design, but I already have a 3D printed light in my living room that does the trick. So I kept things simple and plain, using ordinary PLA material and no fancy designs. But it gets the job done, and who knows? Maybe one day it'll be a conversation starter when I finally get around to reviving my dating profile!
