I wanted to secure a cutting mat to my print bed when using my 3D printer as a plotter, but the thick print bed required a clip that could span it. I needed something that would work, so I came up with this makeshift solution. You can easily customize it to suit your needs, but I opted for a design where the bottom jaw has sharp teeth and the top jaw is smooth, attaching a piece of rubber from an old bicycle inner tube to the top jaw using Shoe Goo. Default dimensions are tailored for the DaVinci 1.0a printer model. March 6, 2019: Revised with smaller angle and rounded handle, utilizing my Bezier library in conjunction with it. Print Settings Printer: XYZ DaVinci 1.0a with Repetier firmware Resolution: 0.35 mm Notes: Use a brim to ensure proper adhesion to the print bed.
