Simple Sprayer Nozzle (Customizable)
thingiverse
Human: I designed this versatile spray nozzle to plug seamlessly into a 1/4" quick disconnect ball valve, perfect for watering plants on-the-go. The SCAD file can be easily customized to accommodate different connection sizes, face dimensions and hole diameters. If you choose to modify the face size, minor edits will be necessary to add more holes, but everything is thoroughly documented for clarity. No supports are required during printing. Update: I've added a version of the files optimized for "spiralize" mode in Cura, which helps prevent layer boundary breakage and results in a stronger part if dropped. Printing with ABS then acetone vapor smoothing can also produce a more robust nozzle due to enhanced shell layer fusion. Print Settings Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: TAZ 5 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 20 Notes: Printed in ABS with 1.5 mm shell thickness, 20% infill and a 0.2 mm layer height, without support. Holes in the bottom layers print undersized on my printer, so they are oversized in the model to ensure optimal flow balance. If your printer prints true size holes, you may need to decrease hole_radius to achieve pinholes. This allows for balanced spray pressure and output when paired with a 1/4" hose. For a weaker spray, simply increase the hole diameter. How I Designed This Created programmatically using OpenSCAD (my profession as a software developer gives me an edge in this area over traditional 3D modeling programs).
