This spool holder is designed to be uncomplicated and straightforward in its design. I exclusively use ColorFabb filament, so all my spools are of the standard 55mm size. Having tried various spool holders and incorporated what I need, I've arrived at this simple yet effective design. The rounded inner edges prevent the spool from getting caught on the sides, while the bearings provide a smooth feed. Its small footprint and design result in strong prints with minimal filament waste. Tip: To use as a stop for the bearings, insert a measured piece of plastic PVC tubing, or substitute it with lock nuts or zip ties. Simply slide everything along the bolt while threading it on. Printing specifications include a .80 wall thickness and 20% infill.
