This setup is what our laboratory has come up with. It's not perfect, but it definitely needs some improvement. A simple solution is often better than a complicated one. Our laboratory is testing this setup on its flagship printer (you can see it in the render). This printer is completely open-source and its body is made of plain varnished wood. The printer has windows where you can watch what's going on inside while it works. These windows are closed with transparent plastic. This setup consists of simple plates fixed to a wall, with hooked bars attached by a pin (we had to skip the holes for fixing the bar because we only had five days to start the project from scratch). On these bars, ball bearings are loaded and positioned, then secured with blocks. The bearings are placed in spool holders where all the strands flow into a "guide". You can manually steer this guide towards the holes that lead to the extruders (we have two extruders, so I can select which cable to send to each one). This setup is an alpha designed with the hope that it will be an inspiration to our community. Thanks for your attention. Greetings
