Simple spice/salt/tea/powder scoop
thingiverse
Got a couple pounds of smoked sea salt to share among friends. Wanted to portion it out in small ziplock bags that I had lying around. Needed a scoop to fill them up efficiently. So I designed and 3D printed one to make the task easier. The printed scoop fits snugly into the 50mm (2")-wide bags perfectly. The design features gripper ridges for your thumb, making it easy to scoop out the salt without spilling a single grain. Here's a timelapse of the printing process: https://youtu.be/60VPmW0sjww Here are the print settings I used: Printer: i300Pro Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.16mm layers Infill: 10% Notes: The design has 3 shells, but it's mostly using 2 since it's 0.7mm thick. You may need to add supports if you have trouble with overhangs. I kept the design simple and quick to print, as I just needed a basic scoop for my smoked sea salt. If you're using PLA, be sure to use supports or have excellent cooling settings to prevent overhang issues. I tested it with PLA and had to turn on supports due to my machine's limitations.
