I've had some budget-friendly solar powered fairy lights taking up space on my desk for a whole year now, so I finally completed designing a speedy ball jar style housing for them since they were already attached to the canning lid. To make modeling the design easier, the center of the jar was modeled as sheet metal, allowing it to be flattened, the pattern created, and then rolled back up.
