Simple Snowflake Generator
thingiverse
Generate yourself some simple snowflakes! I was recently scraping an aborted print off the printer bed and noticed that the plastic was coming off with a slight static charge. Turns out that if you print something very thin and carefully remove it from the bed without bending it too much, it sticks to flat surfaces - a decent way to make decals! Also, Christmas is coming. Decorations. And some of us need more snowflakes in our lives. I printed a bunch of these and kids stuck them all over the windows (and some on the floor, apparently). Fun!? Easiest way to use this is to download the OpenSCAD source, open it in OpenSCAD and play with the model there, exporting whatever you like into STL. Or you can use the Customizer. Twiddle the knobs to tweak the product. Set "Random seed" to 0 (zero) if you want/need more unpredictability in your life. Or, if you are into controlling your environment, increment the random seed until you get a snowflake that you like.
