Simple Small Servo Robot Arm
prusaprinters

Many robotic arm models are rather large, and involve complex mechanical joints to transfer motion from the base to each joint. This is a very simple and small robotic arm that relies on the servos as the main structural components. The drawback here is that the additional weight on each arm makes the movement less precise. But, for entertainment purposes that trade-off is well worth it.

I tested it, and it works well!

Assembly is fairly straightforward. I used an orthodontist braces rubber band poked via needle through the hole in the gripper, but anything elastic will do.

Materials:
Printed parts (STLs attached)
small elastic band
paper clip
3x - mg90s Servo Motors
28BYJ-48 ULN2003 5V Stepper Motor
Recommended: Arduino, stepper motor control board, and pololu Maestro servo controller.
