The goal was to craft a minimalist housing for an optical drive taken from an old laptop. The enclosure had to accommodate standard-sized slimline SATA Optical Drives and convert them to USB via a slimline SATA to USB adapter. Two screws were used on the sides to secure the optical drive, but it could be used without them due to its snug fit with very slight give.
