https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSBz95jO3nQ The kids and grandkids really love secret opening boxes (and I'm right there with them), so I designed "Simple Secret Box V: Gift Box Edition" as yet another box with a clever locking mechanism. This box relies on neodymium magnets and ferrous pins to keep things secure, requiring a sharp jolt in the correct spot to open it up. The ribbons are totally optional, but since the holidays are just around the corner, I decided to add them in so these boxes can hold small gifts for family and friends. If you're not interested in building this as a locking box, you can simply skip the steps involving pins and magnets - and end up with an easy-to-open gift box featuring dovetail construction. As usual, I probably left out some files or made other mistakes along the way, so if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. I make plenty of errors, after all! I designed this using Autodesk Fusion 360, sliced it with Cura 3.4.1 and printed it in PLA on both an Ultimaker 2+ Extended and an Ultimaker 3 Extended.
