Simple scarecrow
prusaprinters

The scarecrow is powered by the wind and scares away birds and moles in the garden or just birds from the balcony. This scarecrow produces a slight vibrations that are transmitted in the ground and these vibrations scare the moles away.

You can use for hanging the scarecrow (ScareBody) a round metal rod with a recommended minimal height 280mm, diameter from 6mm to 11mm and rounded top for better rotation, or you can print it from two or three parts (if you can get it taller). The individual parts of the printed stick (ScareUpperStick, ScareMiddleStick, ScareBottomStick) will simply connect together as shown in the second picture, gluing is not necessary. Just be careful when connecting the ScareMiddleStick and ScareBottomStick parts, they must have the flat spikes in the same direction.

Dimensions of parts

ScareBody: 160mm × 200mm × 200mm
ScareUpperStick: 60mm × 6mm × 6mm
ScareMiddleStick: 280mm × 8mm × 8mm
ScareBottomStick: 280mm × 10.4mm × 10.4mm

Height of assembled model: 530.5mm

Print instructions

Printer: Prusa i3 MK3S
Filament: Prusament PETG

ScareBody

Rafts: No
Supports: No
Resolution: 0.30 DRAFT
Fill density: 100%
Fill pattern: Rectilinear

ScareUpperStick

Brim width: 5mm
Supports: No
Resolution: 0.30 DRAFT
Fill density: 100%
Fill pattern: Rectilinear

ScareMiddleStick

Rafts: No
Supports: No
Detect bridging perimeters: true
Resolution: 0.30 DRAFT
Fill density: 30%
Fill pattern: Gyroid

ScareBottomStick

Rafts: No
Supports: No
Detect bridging perimeters: true
Resolution: 0.30 DRAFT
Fill density: 30%
Fill pattern: Gyroid

Just print and enjoy it.
