Simple Rope Tensioner
thingiverse
Here's a replica of the plastic clip, commonly utilized for tightening ropes in camping and tarp scenarios. The design is not exclusive; it generally maintains a uniform appearance. I recently printed this on low settings using Makerware (0.34 layer height) with 50% infill, which took approximately 18 minutes. I've just started using it, so I'm uncertain if I'll need to increase the infill percentage or how durable the PLA will be exposed outdoors. Nonetheless, it seems to work efficiently thus far. For larger ropes, scaling up the tensioner might be an option; however, I have no experience with that. If anyone attempts this, please share your results.
