Simple Rod Clip Wire Holder (parametric scad)
thingiverse
I'm a skilled individual who can devote hours to expertly installing wiring within a device. For my brand-new Prusa i2, I decided to create a simple wire holder that clips onto a rod - smooth or threaded. Here are three sizes of holders designed for 8mm rods and my SCAD file. My SCAD file is uncomplicated and crystal clear to help you produce your own custom versions with specific dimensions (e.g. varying rod diameters). Provided STL files correspond to 8mm rods. Recommended bracket dimensions: Size 'S' - 4-6 wires can fit in the holder measuring 8mm x 4mm (downloadable from amateria-rod-clip-wire-holder-s.stl) Size 'M' - holds 8-12 wires, measures 8mm x 12mm and is available as STL file titled 'amateria-rod-clip-wire-holder-m.stl' Size 'L' - holds up to 24 wires with a size of 8mm x 16mm (accessible through 'amateria-rod-clip-wire-holder-l.stl) Instructions for installation: Slic3D can easily slice this at speeds of 40 mm/s on Prusa I2 versions, whether experimental or stable - utilizing both 1.1.7 and 1.2.0 variants. Instructions: Generate a GCODE using your preferred software from the provided STL files or use my SCAD file to produce custom, customized variations. Print it. Put your wires into the brackets by pushing them through the gaps. Finally, secure the holder where desired on a rod. Take pleasure in having well-managed wiring! Just don't overprint - remember these are delicate, small parts!
