This is a simple ring design. I made it to press-fit over a size 9 Tungsten Carbide ring core. This is an inexpensive engagement ring alternative.
I used simple PLA for the ring outer shell at 100% infill. In the photo, I modified the g-code to make the ring textured. I find the rough surface helps to ground me. It's set to 99% line infill, with (2) bottom/top layers and (0) perimeters to reveal the infill. Make sure to use a 3rd cylindrical modifier to maintain the smooth/uniform geometry of the ring interior.
The lavender ring core is made using TPU at 100% infill. Simply stretch it over the band after doing the press-fit on the ring. Another perk is that these can be interchangeable if so desired.
