Simple Racing Sim Magnetic Shifter
thingiverse
I wanted to build a sim racing shifter that had the minimum parts, and was easy to print. This design uses an M3 x 30mm standoff spacer (has a 5mm OD) commonly used in RC helicopters as a bearing/shaft. Apart from this one part, all you need is M3 screws and nuts to fix the base to your steering wheel, and a couple of 10mm x 5mm neodymium magnets ! Top glues onto the base. Recommend ABS or other heavy duty material.
