Simple PSU contact cover
thingiverse
I decided to upgrade my CobbleBot's 12V power supply unit (PSU) by creating a protective cover for its terminals. Unfortunately, the original PSU did not come with this feature, leaving the 110V supply exposed and vulnerable. I searched Thingiverse for various designs that would meet my needs, and one model in particular caught my eye: it was http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:51261. However, upon closer inspection, I realized that the AC supply was positioned on the opposite side from where I needed it to be. This design inspired me to create a modified version, which I dubbed v2, that incorporates a screw-down mechanism for securing one of the 12V V-pins. In contrast, my original design (v1) relies on a screw inserted directly into the PSU's metal casing. To ensure smooth printing and minimize support requirements, I print this component upside down from top to bottom.
