Simple Prusa Light Bar
thingiverse
This design is a simple lightbar for the Prusa i3 MK2/3 printers. It's printed in 3 parts (no supports required) that then just pushes together. It should then friction fit into hex shape holes at the top of the Prusa's Z axis arms. You can slide 10mm wide LED light strip into the provided groove (See link below for an example). They will slide in and stay (no need to stick them down). Two versions of the corner parts are provided: * use the xxx_LedPower version for the side where you will supply power to your LEDs * Use the xxx_basic version for the other side. After assembling check the length of the assembly against the Prusa hex holes…make sure its either the correct length or a little short (0.5-1.0mm). If its too long the pressure (and heat from the led lights) will make the bar warp. If it’s a little short I think the pressure will be helping to help keep the bar straight. The friction fit into the hex shaped hole of the Prusa i3 worked great for my left side, but I had to trim and lightly sand the hole in the Prusa on the right side (due to some overlap on the 3D printed part from Prusa!). Let me know if they are loose or tight and I can adjust towards the common findings! Example LED strip that fits : [Amazon Link](https://www.amazon.com.au/YUNBO-4000-4500K-Cuttable-Non-Waterproof-Decoration/dp/B07K1G8JJX/ref=sr_1_7) Note that the waterproof LED light strips (that are filled with a clear rubber to make a smooth curved cover) will not fit the groove provided.
