I designed this outdoor ash tray pot with a specific purpose in mind - it's meant for use outside, and its lid features an inset rim to prevent it from being blown away by strong winds. The wall thickness of this pot is 1.5mm, the base is 1mm thick, and the lid itself is also 1.5mm thick. Notably, the lid doesn't fit snugly on top of the pot - there's a slight tolerance of around 1.5mm between the rim of the lid and the pot, making it easy to remove when needed. To make removal even easier, I deliberately made the diameter of the lid slightly larger than that of the pot by 1mm. The design was created using Google Sketchup, and the original files are included with this description for reference. Since my initial attempt at creating a lid suffered from being blown away in the wind, I've since added another lid with an even deeper inset to prevent this issue from recurring. Here are the print settings used to create this outdoor ash tray pot: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer Model: MakerBot Replicator 2X Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.35mm Infill Percentage: 10% Notes: I chose a layer height of 0.35mm to help reduce print time, but feel free to experiment with different settings if needed.
