Got the idea for this design based on Matt Boley's creation found on Family Handyman. The link is https://www.familyhandyman.com/woodworking/miter-joint-clamp/. Since I couldn't find any wood offcuts of that size where I live, I decided to design and print it instead. I've run the model through Netfabb and verified its completeness in Simplify3D (S3D), so it should print smoothly. For optimal results, I recommend printing with ABS or PETG, but PLA+ may also work well. To ensure rigidity, I suggest using extra wall thickness, at least 5 solid top and bottom layers, and a high infill percentage of 50% honeycomb. I've included STL files for both parts, the outer part alone, and the inner part alone to make it easier to print replacement parts if needed. The clamp's dimensions are: 20mm thick (about 0.75"), 160mm long (about 6.3"), and 90mm deep (about 3.5"). It's roughly equivalent to a 1 x 4 piece of wood. You can also use the Sketchup SKP file to modify the design if you want to change its dimensions or make any other adjustments. Feel free to share your thoughts!
