I know there are painting stands available in abundance, but I required something remarkably straightforward to produce and utilize, and this serves my purpose perfectly - and may suit yours as well. The stand measures 30mm across, ensuring it can stand upright on its own, while the top grip securely holds miniatures without a base. If they have a base, a small piece of blue tack can be used to keep it in place, allowing for effortless painting.
