Simple Mars Globe Stand Using Tacks (SMGSUT!)
thingiverse
New photos of the nearly completed model reveal its simple yet effective design. A few adjustments are needed, but overall, it works flawlessly! Please obtain the Mars STL from the original project. The images showcase an exaggerated globe with initial color coating and camera flash, so forgive the poor quality for now. For assembly instructions: 1. Disregard any plastic debris in the images. 2. Print the model. 3. Assemble the parts. 4. Apply color to your desired areas. 5. Insert tacks into a 6cm globe. 6. Secure the globe in its holder. 7. Enjoy your finished product! If you cannot print support material, consider printing the bow standing on its arch to keep the tack/pin holders clear. Additionally, you may want to enhance the rigidity of certain parts based on your printer and material choice.
