I built this affordable z table for my K40 laser engraver, cobbled together with a hot glue gun. It's not fancy, but it gets the job done and costs less than $30 in materials - aluminum platform included - sourced from Amazon and Lowes. This creation may be rough around the edges, but it's surprisingly effective.
