Simple Lock Box Puzzle

I'm building a small lockbox that's more of a prototype than an actual puzzle, but it's designed with the idea of adding locking mechanisms later. The goal is to create different types of locks, such as a lever lock, and I'm considering various options for making them 3D printable. However, designing a tumbler lock presents some challenges, specifically requiring compression springs, which could be difficult to replicate without using actual metal parts. If you have experience with creating functioning compression springs or know alternative methods for making tumbler locks without them, your input would be greatly appreciated. In addition to puzzles, I'm open to exploring other project ideas - please feel free to share any suggestions or ideas you might have!
