Simple Laser Cut Storage Box

Simple Laser Cut Storage Box

thingiverse

Here is a simple laser cut storage box that I built using 3mm plywood and M3x16 bolts with captive nuts. The design features a circular cutout on the front to make it easy to pull the box off the shelf, and you could also add a handle if needed. To ensure a snug fit, I sized the box to match my existing shelving units and to accommodate the limited cutting area of my cheap Chinese laser cutter. You can easily scale up or down the design to suit your specific needs. While 3mm acrylic would work well for this project, you may need to re-design the box if you choose a different material thickness. To assemble the box, start by attaching the back piece to the base, followed by the sides, and finally the front panel.
