Simple Lack Height Extender
prusaprinters

I made this leg extender to raise my Ikea Lack enclosure up another ~200mm off the floor, because I wanted it higher for comfort and also I can then fit a small set of drawers under it for storing filament spools.

Total height of the print is 220mm. It will raise the Lack table 205mm higher.

Print upright without support - bridging gaps are only 12mm, a half decent printer should not struggle at all. I recommend printing with thick walls and low infill, there's hardly any room for infill anyway. I did 1.6mm walls and bottom thickness with 10% infill, and it is quite strong. I could push down with my whole body weight on a single one and it holds just fine.

The extenders will need to be screwed to the Lack legs, drilling your own holes. As with any leg extender, these are going to introduce a bit of wobble. With each extender attached with two screws I found the wobble to be acceptable but your standards may vary.

Print Settings

Printer:

Ender 3

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Infill:

10%

Filament: Progressive3D PLA

Category: 3D Printer Accessories
