Simple Lack Height Extender
thingiverse
I crafted this innovative leg extender to elevate my Ikea Lack enclosure by approximately 200mm off the floor, primarily for enhanced comfort and to accommodate a compact set of drawers underneath for storing filament spools. The total height of the print is 220mm, effectively raising the Lack table by 205mm. To ensure successful printing without support, I recommend bridging gaps up to 12mm, which should be manageable even for entry-level printers. For optimal results, print with thick walls and low infill, as there's limited space for infill anyway. My personal preference is 1.6mm wall thickness and a 10% infill ratio, resulting in a remarkably strong structure that can withstand significant pressure. To secure the extenders to the Lack legs, you'll need to drill your own holes. Please note that leg extenders inherently introduce some wobble, which may be more pronounced when only one extender is attached with two screws. However, I found this acceptable within my standards; your comfort level may vary.
