Simple knob (1/4"-20 hardware)
pinshape
During the process of building an overhead filming rig for my YouTube channel, I required a means to tighten the articulating arms efficiently. Initially, I employed wingnuts, but this method proved increasingly taxing on my hands. In response, I rapidly developed these knobs that utilize 1/4"-20 hardware. The slot for the machine nut is designed to provide a snug friction fit. I anticipate that this design will be beneficial to someone in need of a reliable solution. *** UPDATE *** A revised version of this design has been created, featuring an improved configuration that reduces strain on the hands and incorporates a built-in standoff, preventing it from lying flush with the surface being tightened.
