Another exercise in maths and OpenSCAD. Others on this platform have tackled similar projects. This simple library enables users to design involute gears from scratch or create solid gear models. The base 2D shape can be crafted, or a more intricate design featuring multiple gears can be achieved. I've added an example of three interlocking gears to demonstrate the capabilities of this tool. Additionally, I've updated the module with a wide range of general-purpose gear features, including herringbone, helix, chamfered, hollow, spoked, and hole or spindle cutouts. This comprehensive function allows for endless creative possibilities. To make the process even more enjoyable, the customizer now enables users to create multiple gear examples with ease.
