Simple Install 3d Printer Camera Base
thingiverse
This redesign features a base and transverse arm that simply nestles under the Y-axis threaded rod. The camera can easily rest on top, or be screwed or glued to the base if using something like the recycled Xbox 360 camera I happened to have handy. Future camera upgrades are as simple as printing another mount. In designing printer accessories, careful consideration must be given to added weight to the moving gantry and bed, as they increase inertial mass, resulting in a negative effect on performance. This is why I opted for a stationary solution. This design should work with similarly designed printers using a metric 8mm Y-axis threaded rod which rests 18.4mm from the bottom, as shown on Tronxy P802E. No supports are required to print this design.
