Simple iMac Stand
thingiverse
I've always wanted my own iMac stand but was never up to buying one, so I just printed my own. It feels great having it more elevated as well as blending in perfectly with the desk. This particular print is on my Wanhao Duplicator 4 which I picked up around two years ago. I would highly recommend at least 35% infill for this design, as this one is only at 15% and struggled a bit when I put down the iMac, and it's a 2012 iMac 21" with considerable weight on top. Since it was being printed in eSun wood filament, I went with a 0.4mm layer height (nozzle 0.4mm) and a 0.3mm infill layer height. Printed at 60mm/s, 225°C at the nozzle, and 60°C on the bed, using eSun Wood 1.75 PLA Filament without active cooling fan settings. Printer: Wanhao Duplicator 4 Dual with no raft or support used, resolution of 0.4mm, infill set to 15% - Diamond (fast) print setting. I'd love to see anyone else's completed print of this design and would be thrilled if you could post it on Thingiverse once it's done printing!
