Simple ICOM 7300 radio stand
thingiverse
This is a straightforward platform for supporting the ICOM 7300 HF radio. Due to limited eyesight, I need to position myself close to the radio in order to see it clearly. This stand elevates the radio at a precise 30-degree angle, making it significantly easier for me to view the radio's face. The accompanying OpenSCAD file allows you to adjust the angle as needed. Simply modify the "Angle" and "BackAngle" values within the OpenSCAD file, then render a new .stl file to suit your preferences. This stand is robustly constructed and fits the radio snugly. If you gently push on the radio, both it and the stand will move in tandem. To prevent the radio and stand from sliding across the desk, I recommend attaching thin adhesive rubber feet underneath the stand. I built my stand using an Ender 3 printer with a 30% infill density and support structure featuring a one-layer-thick base beneath the support that made contact with the print bed.
