Simple Horizontal Spool

Very simple spool for filament works great with smooth performance. It only requires three printed parts: a bearing, and two pieces of 5/16 inch threaded rod along with eight big washers and twenty nuts to work well. This was a very affordable setup since I picked up the bearings at Sears. The ones I bought have an outside diameter of 20 mm, a thickness of 8 mm, and a inside diameter of .375 inches. To get started print out two cones and one base part carefully smoothing out any bumps on the bearing hole with light sandpaper. Pressing it into the hole using a vise tool should help it fit in tight and securely. Install both vertical threaded rods by putting them in bearings then securing them at both ends using one nut. Then install these into each end of the bases.
