Simple harness for Nexus 5

Simple harness for Nexus 5

My mom always keeps her Nexus in her handbag and uses a lanyard to grab it quickly whenever it rings. I created this simple harness so she can attach the lanyard without needing a full phone case. The .scad and .stl files show a blank back, but the photo reveals that the holder can be customized with text. Since I only have one extruder on my printer, I used filament-switching to produce the text twice. The code for this is included in the .scad file, along with instructions. Please note that you'll need to split the gcode into three files and do a minimal amount of editing. I place no restrictions on using this code - feel free to modify it as you see fit. Print Settings: Printer: TwoUp Rafts: No Supports: No Notes: I printed this with both ABS and PLA, using 0.2mm layer height and 0.4mm nozzle. You can mix ABS and PLA - the picture shows the harness made from PLA (green) and the text in ABS (blue). Remember to adjust the temperatures if you're mixing materials. Post-Printing: Cleanup: Depending on your print quality, you might need to clean up the overhangs and edges a bit with an utility knife.
