Simple Hard Drive Bracket (short)

Simple Hard Drive Bracket (short)

This is a simple bracket for installing a 2.5" hard drive or SSD in to a 3.5" bay. It is a somewhat minimal design. Designed to be relatively cheap without being overly flimsy. With the price of my material, it costs about 50 cents CAD. (Currently roughly 40 cents US)

Note that this is shorter than a normal 3.5" hard drive. There are certain (somewhat rare) situations where you need the entire length, and all three standard holes. For this scenerio, I have a longer bracket. I also have my "deluxe bracket" which allows you to install two 2.5" drives in a single 3.5" bay, or one 2.5" drive and a fan. These brackets can be found at : https://www.printables.com/social/55222-tyler/collections/95779

The holes on the side of this bracket should allow you to self tap a #6-32 UNC screw. (The standard ones that are used with 3.5" hard drives, not the M3 screw which has a finer thread and is generally used for optical drives and 2.5" drives - although if you find the hole too small for the 6-32, you could try an M3.)

If you liked this design, consider a tip or post a make!
