Simple GT2 Belt Tensioner
thingiverse
A simple tensioner for a GT2 belt I designed specifically for my Delta printer. This attaches to the belt, keeping pace with its every move. To ensure secure attachment, fasten it to the belt at a location that won't pass through a pulley or interfere with other parts. The tensioner uses a 14mm M3 screw and nut to bend the GT2 belt sideways. Note: The prototype photo shows this design in action. I added a "pusher" between the belt and the end of the screw, anticipating potential issues with the screw cutting into the belt. The "pusher" is tapered, making it easier to insert between the belt and frame in one direction than the other. After experiencing a broken tensioner, I enlarged the frame slightly to make it stronger.
