Simple GT2 Belt Tensioner
cults3d
I designed a simple tensioner for my Delta printer's GT2 belt. This tensioner attaches directly to the belt, moving with it every step of the way. It is crucial to secure it at a point where it won't encounter any pulleys or conflict with other parts. The design utilizes a 14mm M3 screw and nut to bend the belt sideways. Note: The prototype photo is shown above. I added a "pusher" between the belt and the end of the screw, as I was concerned that the screw might cut into the belt. Note: The "pusher" has a tapered shape, making it much easier to insert between the belt and frame one way than the other. [Edit] After breaking one initially, I slightly enlarged the frame to make it stronger.
