This design field is quite specialized. I faced difficulties locating an ideal spot on my motorcycle for my GPS (Garmin with 17 mm ball attachment). To avoid significant alterations in the driver's area, I targeted the fork mounting details as a potential solution. A suitable location presented itself via a hole designed to accommodate a 12 mm allen key. However, this placement requires looking down at the GPS while driving, necessitating caution. If your GPS features a different attachment, this approach won't be feasible; in that case, you'll need to redesign the setup. If you wish to repurpose it for another device, such as your phone, note that the hexagonal component tapers from 11.7 mm at its base to 12.3 mm at its top, enabling a secure fit within the allen key hole for an extended period.
