Simple glass plate holder
thingiverse
I see a lot of holders here that don't press the glass plate against the base properly but instead press the glass side against a flat surface or the end of a screw, causing the glass plate to lift! A slanted surface should definitely be used for this purpose. Good luck with bed leveling and any issues caused by thermal expansion on heated beds. Paper clips can serve as a good solution, but they can interfere, are bulky, and don't look very professional. I made these in just a few minutes using 1mm spring steel wire. They could possibly be a tad bigger. I'm sharing this idea to give you an understanding of how it works. These press the glass plate tight and allow for thermal expansion. They also articulate on the bed adjusting screws, making them easy to install. You'll need two on the left side and two on the right side. A flat steel shim, like what's used in picture frames to hold the glass, would work too. Just find the right size and modify it if necessary. Take note of this: there's a thing online that does the job just as well - it holds tight and allows for easy installation - without requiring any tools or skills to bend, cut steel wire, or shim. You can find it here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1947870 P.S. The STL file is there because an STL file is required! WARNING: When cutting tempered steel wire or steel shim, pieces can fly off and produce sharp edges that can cause eye injuries or bleeding. Too much bleeding can even lead to death! Proceed at your own risk.
