I created a simple design to measure the FOV (Field Of View) of FPV cameras used on quadcopters etc., as I never believed the numbers the manufacturers provided, often round numbers that fail to specify whether they measure horizontal, vertical or diagonal views, and some manufacturers don't even tell you. The holes are 10 degrees apart, so hold it over the lens of the camera while your DVR is recording, then examine & pause the video afterwards. I'm working on a more elaborate measurement tool that can measure the horizontal, vertical and diagonal FOV of most FPV cameras all at once. This design is tailored for 12mm diameter lenses, if you want a version for larger lenses, please leave a comment. Print it in a dark color with non-flexible material, using a 0.2mm layer height, no support needed. The print time is about 32 minutes, and the weight is less than 5 grams. UPDATE: I have added a version 2, this one is stronger, has small holes at 5 degree intervals for more precise measuring, and is designed to be used on cameras already installed in quadcopters etc. Simply hold the point of the V shape to the bottom of the lens of the camera, you'll know it's aligned right as you will be able to see through both alignment channels at -40 and +40 degrees. UPDATE 2: I've added a v3, a remix of v1 with a combination of the 5 degree notches from v2, along with a larger hole for the lens to sit in because I needed to make one to accommodate the 13mm diameter lens of the Foxeer DigiSight I was testing.
