prusaprinters
<p>A simple <strong>extruder visualizer</strong> that's <strong>quick to print </strong>(~7 min) and only requires <strong>two 8 × 3 mm magnets</strong>. Just stack the magnets and insert them in the print & stick it to your extruder to see it working !</p><figure class="image image-style-align-center image_resized" style="width:50%;"><img src="https://media.printables.com/media/prints/286602/rich_content/43d73cfd-a44e-441f-a148-d91b3cb6a59a/motor-visualizer.gif#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%2288595c3b-5f5c-4287-b1ff-2d6596c2f0a6%22%2C%22w%22%3A240%2C%22h%22%3A240%7D"></figure><h4>Printing</h4><p>This model should be printed at 0.10mm layer height with 100% infill with a relatively heat resistant material such as PETG or ABS (PLA could be used, but might warp due to heat produced by the extruder motor).</p><ul><li><a href="https://help.prusa3d.com/article/layers-and-perimeters_1748#layer-height">Layer Height</a>: 0.10mm to 0.20mm</li><li><a href="https://help.prusa3d.com/article/infill_42#fill-density">Infill</a>: 100%</li><li><a href="https://help.prusa3d.com/article/support-material_1698">Raft / Supports / Brim</a>: no</li><li><a href="https://help.prusa3d.com/article/seam-position_151069">Seam position</a>: Aligned (recommended)</li></ul><h4>Assembly</h4><p>Once you have the model printed, you should see a chamfer on the back of the model around the hole. Place the model with this chamfer face up on a hard table and press a stack of two 8 × 3 mm magnet in the hole. The stack should align itself flush with the top model.</p><p>If the hole is too tight for your magnets, you can try to rim it using an 8mm drill bit or scale the model up or down in your slicer to adjust fit.</p><p>Once assembled, just stick it to your extruder motor and enjoy its spin !</p>
