Simple Dual Hotend Mounting Plate For Rostock MAX

thingiverse

This dual hotend mounting plate directly attaches to the existing hotend plate on the Rostock MAX, positioning the hotends 25mm apart and perpendicular to the build platform. Left hotend is offset by -12.5mm on X and right by 12.5mm on X. The holes for hotends are sized for seemeCNC hotends with slight slip fit, held in place using their normal nuts. The mounting plate design allows easy tightening of nuts due to extended flats above the existing plate. A test print showcased minor software adjustments required for better registration, and retraction settings resolved the "drool" issue during printing. The print process involved Cura 14.01 slicer, .5 nozzle, .2mm layers with .6mm thick shell and top/bottom, 30% fill density, and layer temperatures of 240° for first two layers and 230° for remaining ones.
