Simple Digital Wall Clock
thingiverse
A digital wall clock that showcases the current time using an LED display paired with a Raspberry Pi. As long as the Raspberry Pi maintains a stable WiFi connection, the displayed time should be precise. However, if the signal is lost for an extended period, it may drift from accuracy due to the internal clock's performance on the Pi, which I am uncertain about. A light sensor is integrated into the setup, allowing the display to dim at night. Although I didn't utilize this feature in my specific use case, anyone interested can request a version without the sensor for later development. The clock features a keyhole mount on its backside, specifically designed to accommodate a #8 screw for secure mounting. Using a Raspberry Pi to display time might be considered an overkill, but the device's ease of use and affordable price tag of around $10 make it an attractive option. This project is marked as 'Work-in-Progress' due to potential documentation updates. If you encounter any difficulties with part assembly or setting up the Pi, please let me know so I can revise the documentation for clarity. Hardware updates are not planned at this time.
