I designed a simple spool holder that runs smoothly on bearings along a threaded rod. To set it up, print two of these holders and insert the bearings into them. One bearing should go on each side of the spool, with a threaded rod passing through the middle. Then, tighten everything securely using wingnuts on either side. This spool holder is specifically designed for skate bearings (608) on an M8 threaded rod, accommodating a spool with a 35mm center bore. However, it can be customized to fit different sizes of spools or various types of bearings as needed.
