simple cub landing gear- "Bush" style
thingiverse
This is a landing gear I build for the flitest simple cub. It uses O-rings to give it some suspension. I haven´t done a real durability test but till now it holds up fine, starting from a paved road or from small grass. The middle parts that insert in the fuselage are printed at 100% infill as far as I can remember and the two sides have barely infill or even none. As rods I use some 3mm aluminium welding wire. I didn´t build this exact final version like it´s here but salvaged the "mittelteil_2" from a previous version so it could be that this part has some minor flaws and you have to give it some treatment with a file if it doesn´t fit in the beginning. I printed the ball heads (4x) seperate which gives them a better finish. You may have to play with the scale or flow rate to get the ballhead connection snug. As O-rings I use: one that is 1.5mm thick and about 15mm in outer diameter and a second that is 2.3mm thick and 15mm outer diameter. More information can be found in the pictures. Have fun printing and flying with this new landing gear!
