Simple clothespin belt tensioner
thingiverse
To maintain belt tension, use a cheap wooden clothespin modified with pliers to straighten its spring ends. Bend the ends to create a U shape for preventing slippage. Disassemble the clothespin, then reshape the spring for approximately 90-degree offset between ends. Properly position the tensioner on the belt to avoid interference with idler or motor ends while ensuring that the belt is captured within the U-bend of the spring and under tension.
