Simple Cardboard Wine Rack v1

Simple Cardboard Wine Rack v1

This is my second lasercut project following some shadow puppets creation. My latest masterpiece is a cardboard wine rack crafted from 1/4-inch thick cardboard, measuring 12 inches by 24 inches. The holes in the design are 3.5 inches wide, perfect for standard 750mL bottles but too small for Magnums. Moreover, I also utilized leftover cardboard to make stars and coasters as bonus items. My inspiration came from robyward's Asymmetric Wine Rack (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4965), which I modified according to the constraints of my 12x24 build materials. For version 2, I plan to increase hole size to 3.6 inches for accommodating larger bottles, eliminate side holes as they are not secure enough for bottles, and widen strut dimensions. To replicate this project, print six copies of the image on thick cardboard, each measuring 12 inches by 24 inches. Each copy will yield one upright part and two connector struts. Assemble the parts to complete your wine rack.
