Simple cane holder

I whipped up this quick design since I'm now using a cane and I couldn't keep it upright at my desk at work. To make it more stable, I'll be adding an anti-slip pad. I went with this approach rather than a dial lock so I can easily grab it and take it to meetings, slipping it onto different thickness tables as needed. It fits most "break-down" style canes I've seen in stores, which is why I brought it along to test it out on them.
